I have created ketubot in watercolor and collage as well as with embossed mono prints. Each ketubah, like each couple, is unique.  For example, with the watercolor ketubah featured here, the couple instructed me to work in blues, oranges, and purples, and incorporate a dove, Star of David, the Hebrew quote “It is a great mitzvah to always be happy” and a picture reminiscent of the city of Svat, Israel, where the couple met, and, if possible, to include images of iron grillwork and stones such as those found in this ancient city.  The couple provided the text ready for use in the ketubah

     Ketubot range in cost from $300 to $600, depending on the work involved. I have also created interfaith ketubot.

     With portraits, I can work from life or from a photograph, although I like to spend some time talking to the people who are being portrayed so that I can catch a bit of their spirit in the work.  Portraits can be commissioned for as little as $300 (for a 16” x 20” watercolor painting or a 12” x 16” monotype), to $600 for larger sized portraits (22” x 30” or double figure portraits). Large scale oil portraits can also be commissioned at prices to be determined.

     Murals are some of the most enjoyable projects which I have engaged in. I sit down with the family to find out what they want, what is most important to them and, if it is a child’s room, I sit down with the child and brainstorm about their favorite things and the kind of imagery they would like in their room.  I will then make a sketch for the client and paint the image upon approval. I can also guide a client or client’s child to help with some of the painting. The minimum charge per wall is $400 for an acrylic painting.  Generally, a large single image wall mural will cost $400 - $1,000 depending on the work required.
