SIZE Matters

Large-Scale Works

Scale has become a focus in my recent work.  I have been working on canvasses scaled to the maximum reach of my body and arms. The act of painting at the size is an inspiring and energizing process. The distinct dynamic which takes place when working in this scale adds a new dimension to the work.

Hence, when these large-scale works were featured in a solo exhibition at MIMI’s Bistro in Washington, D.C. from May - July 2001, the show was titled “SIZE Matters”.
